Lamps & Lighting Ltd have recently supplied luminaires for the Mayor's Parlour and Member's Room at Runcorn Town Hall. A decision was made to replace the 50's style fittings already in place with appropriate luminaires to suit the mid 19th Century Interior of the Grade II Villa.
Cassidy & Ashton Architects of Widnes enlisted the help of Lamps & Lighting in producing a sympathetic lighting scheme for the project. A visit was made to the site to ascertain the style of the building and recommendations made on suitable fittings. The approved lighting scheme comprised of large Flemish pendants and wall lights installed in the Mayor's Parlour and Members Room along with Dinki Tilt downlights for specific task lighting. All were controlled by 3 and 4 Zone Pre-set Dimming Systems with Solid Brass Covers.
Chris Malkin of Cassidy & Ashton commented "The client was delighted with the improvement to the Mayor's Parlour and Member's Room and has commissioned us to carry out similar works to the civic suite on the first floor of the Town Hall. This comprises of three 19th Century rooms and we have welcomed Lamps & Lighting's involvement in designing a new lighting installation"
